Hey everyone,
A few weeks ago, as I was scrolling some sources on a specific topic, one particular paragraph from Martin Fowler intrigued me:
“As I started to write this article, I was overwhelmed by the things I could talk about. Lots of anecdotes and tips came to mind. But I know that to get you to read and remember this article, I could only talk about a few of them. I had to select the key things that I had to mention. Communication is all about that. The key to good communication is to highlight the important things to say. Saying everything is not communication.” — Martin Fowler, The Almighty Thud
I loved how the paragraph summed up what communication is as well as the insight it provided regarding how to craft the content we create.
That said, I would like to add to "the art of selection" mentioned by Martin Fowler, "the art of orchestration" as another critical step to consider in order to have great content.
Whether my final product is a written post or a video, during the production process, I sit down with tons of words, images, audio-, and video- sequences and try to find out the right place for each one of them. For me, they are tiny pieces of a big puzzle and need to be synchronized with some attention and suspense in order to communicate the wanted story.
Today, I have 2 visual stories to share with you, that I recently published on YouTube:
